Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the outside provider that supplies that result service. Schertz Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those searches on its own servers. If you contact us, we use the contents of your message to respond.
Information Collected Automatically
The host creates ordinary logs, including IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We use aggregate log information to maintain the service and understand broad page use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where used.
How Information Is Used
We use this limited information to operate the service, diagnose problems, measure aggregate visits, and improve the reference pages. We do not sell a visitor list or create individual visitor profiles.
External Services
Links lead to Texas, county, city, library, archive, and outside search services. The privacy policy of the destination controls information submitted there, including information entered in sponsored result tools.
Who Can Receive Information
Hosting and support providers process logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. Information is disclosed when valid legal process requires it, and otherwise only as described here.
Safeguards
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes stated above. There are no visitor accounts, passwords, or visitor profiles stored by this reference.
Visitors Under 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. Contact us if you believe a minor provided information, and we will remove it.
Your Privacy Choices
Texas residents may have access, correction, deletion, and certain opt-out rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, Business & Commerce Code Chapter 541, where the law applies. Because this service keeps little information, requests generally involve reviewing the contact mailbox and relevant logs, then deleting applicable information. Use the Contact page to ask. A public record held by a Texas, county, or city custodian is outside our control, and a correction or removal request for it must go to that custodian.
Policy Updates
Changes will appear on this policy page. Continuing to use the service after a revision indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
